*Coke Fest’18***

[03/02/2018]The date when Coke Festival’18 took place at the Lake city, Lahore. People from all around the city came over to enjoy the wonderful eve that continuously lasted till 3 days starting from 2nd February to 4th Feb. The moment the invites were circulated on the social media I nearly hit the Interested option on the bar, which seemed a little too awkward to me since no one in my family was initially interested in it and I knew very well that I had to drag along with them.

Anyways, not feeling the hopelessness and to my luck my brother in law came to the rescue when he got the tickets at his office.The awkward moment turned into a pretty one and all ready and set for the day ,we went to attend the biggest festival in town. The day was Saturday and the hype of the event was literally at it’s peak. It was all too evident from the “Unorganized entrance” where everyone was in a rush and all to ready to dive in. The entrance was a huge rush where people were impatiently waiting to get in there. From a distance, I could hear “Ahmed Ali Butt” voice blurring something which really wanted me to get inside. I remember we were instructed to tie the band on our wrist which we did but my mother lost it in the crowd. It was a bit difficult to find it but eventually found it with the help of the mobile flashlight. It was necessary to so make an entrance that initially seemed really difficult.

Alas! after standing in the crowd for like 1/2 an hour and bearing those unnecessary losses finally we made it to the entrance where no body seemed to be interested in checking the lost/found wrist band. The entrance was followed to a glittery golden billboard which had “Coke Festival” written on it in Bold. People were taking pictures while standing in front of it. Just right next to it was the gate where the main event was taking place.

Crowded area as it was expected and the aroma of food was there. As much as I wanted to taste the different variety of food, the immensely increasing crowd was there to wither my dreams. It got rarely impossible to stand near the stall for even 5 minutes. In spite of all this I was lucky enough to find my favorite fast food…

Moving a little ahead, concert was taking place and too of Farhan Saeed. Fortunate enough the I was able to find a place near the stage and enjoy it in full swing. The crowd was really enthusiastic and was singing along.

We stayed there for around two to three hours..I guess! On return to we had to make our way within the crowd that was too was really a difficult task.

Anyways, the moment came to an end and we came back home. Whatever the event held, the concert, food along with over crowded people, It was too much fun. I still recall it as one of the most bright moments.

This year the event is just round the corner and I would really want to go back and enjoy the moment. This time too I have clicked the Interested option in the tab since the invites are circulated on the social media.
